The UK Secretary of State for the Home Department has invited bids for a multifunctional mobile biometric enrolment (MBE) devices with capability to digitally enrol fingerprint and other biographic data. According to the call, the system will include a fingerprint scanner with functionality to communicate with an android smartphone and an electronic notebook application. The estimated value of the contract is ¡ê450,000 for 150 devices with a software development kit and upto 3 year support.
