The European Commission has published the short list of candidates for the position of European data protection supervisor (EDPS). The list is composed of acting EDPS Wojciech Wiewi¨®rowski, Yann Padova and Endre Szab¨®. Individual public hearings for each of the short listed candidates will be held on November 25th in Strasbourg. According to IAPP, Wiewi¨®rowski's working knowledge of the EDPS gives him an obvious advantage on the two other candidates.
