A letter of formal notice has been sent to Czechia over the shortcomings in the adoption of EU rules on e-waste management (WEEE, Directive 2012/19/EU). Czechia is deemed to have failed to include certain EU provisions into national law. If Czechia does not reply in two months, the commission may send a reasoned opinion.
