The UK's Government Digital Service has awarded contract extensions for the  two remaining commercial partners of the Verify identity-assurance platform. Digidentity and Post Office will continue to offer new user sign-ups until 2022, with the contract extensions which are  more than ¡ê5m. During the additional period, the commercial partners will also transfer copies of user data and trust to the authority. This will involve teh agency notifying users of the transfer , requesting their consent to transfer and explaining the consequences of not transferring before the April 2022 cut-off date.
