The German government has issued a clear call for guarantees of diversity in the areas of culture and media in the ongoing TTIP free trade negotiations between the European Union (EU) and the US. Germany's Economics and Culture Ministers Sigmar Gabriel and Monika Gr¨¹tters emphasised that there must be exceptions for audiovisual services in the TTIP agreement in order to protect the diversity of culture and media in Germany.
