One year ago, the US House of Representatives passed the Equality Act (HR5), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, sexual orientation and other purposes. HP wholeheartedly supported this bill in partnership with Business Coalition for the Equality Act and America Competes, but it has not yet been passed by Congress or signed into law.

The cost of inaction is increased inequality and discrimination. As an active member of Texas Competes, HP shares the coalition's deep concerns about the state's recent transgender youth order. And we call on Congress to pass nationwide protections for LGBTQ+ individuals as soon as possible.

Throughout our company's history, we have raised the bar for allyship and supported the LGBTQ+ community and other underrepresented groups. Diversity, equity and inclusion are core values at HP, and we oppose discrimination in all forms.
