Celebrating the Month of Meraki
Publish Time: 02 Apr, 2026

A Recap of Our Weekly Developer Deep Dives

March was an incredible month for the Cisco Meraki developer community. Every Thursday, we released a new video dedicated to showcasing how you can leverage the Meraki platform to build smarter, more automated, and highly observable networks.

If you missed any of the sessions, here is a recap of our five-part series on the tools and protocols that are shaping the future of cloud-managed IT.

Episode 1: Meraki OAuth

We kicked off the month with Oren Brigg, who demystified OAuth and explained how to implement this open standard authorization protocol within the Meraki dashboard. As we transition away from traditional API keys, understanding OAuth is essential for building secure, modern integrations.

Episode 2: Cisco Meraki Add-on for Splunk

In our second episode, Shweta Palande explored how to unify visibility across multiple Meraki organizations. By leveraging Meraki's REST APIs and webhooks, the Splunk add-on allows for extended historical data analysis, centralized security monitoring, and custom automated workflows.

Episode 3: Cisco Spaces Integration

Episode 3 focused on the native integration between Cisco Meraki and Cisco Spaces. Vasundhra Dewangan demonstrated how to connect these platforms directly from the Meraki Dashboard without the need for manual API keys, allowing you to turn network data into actionable location insights for retail, campuses, and office spaces.

Episode 4: Cisco ThousandEyes Integration

Josh Collier took a deep dive into proactive monitoring with ThousandEyes. This integration enables one-click enrollment on Meraki MX appliances, providing detailed path visualization and hop-by-hop analysis. It is a game-changer for IT teams looking to monitor SaaS application performance (like Webex or Microsoft 365) and resolve issues before they impact the user experience.

Episode 5: Can't Spell AI Without API

For our final episode, we examined the synergy between AI and APIs. We discussed how Meraki's API-driven approach serves as the backbone for intelligent, cloud-connected IT. From rapid provisioning to real-time analytics, we showed how APIs are the fundamental building blocks for any AI-enhanced infrastructure.
